Search In Search

Here’s an interesting discovery I just made…

If you do a Google search for the onlien newspaper site “The Onion”, their listing has an additional search box. So you’ve searched in Google to find the site, you can then search the content of the site direct from Google to get the exact page you need. Talk about drilling down to the exact content you want.

Strangely, having checked other large content sites like Amazon, CNN, About.com and others I failed to find another single site showing this “search in search” concept.

Anybody else ever seen it before? I wonder how The Onion got picked out of the hat for such service?
