Using Bebo As Search Engine Bait
For some time now we have all known about the power of using some of the Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Blogger to generate traffic but increasingly it seems that the social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace are appearing in the results.
Doing some research on some financial keywords yesterday I came across one marketer who was using the social networking site Bebo extensively in order to build traffic to his website.
What amazed me was two things:
1) Firstly, he had tons of great results. Not just one or two - they were everywhere in Google UK when searching for financial-related words. He or she seemed to average around position 5 on average.
2) Secondly, just how basic and simple the pages that were ranking well were. I mean, honestly, you’ve never seen anything like it. Want to see one?
This is his page that ranks at number 5 out of 628,000 results for “unsecured debt consolidation loans”:
That page must have taken 2 minutes to put together. All he’s done is stuck in a few keywords and then there, front and centre, are the adverts to refer people to his site. What could be simpler or quicker?! Makes me think you could stick dozens, even hundreds of these pages up for niches with very low competition and totally dominate the rankings and suck thousands of visitors to your sites.
Here are just a few screenshots showing the results this guy is getting:
Bad Debt Personal Loans - #5 out of 365,000
Loan Debt Consolidation - #5 out of 1,370,000
Unsecured Debt Consolidation Loans - #5 out of 628,000
Now, go get yourself a Bebo account and go get yourself some free traffic!
